Your contribution

  • Define and create Metricbeat modules to collect metrics and build Kibana dashboards for monitoring various services. This implies understanding the monitored service and finding the most relevant metrics.

We’re growing and in need of another experienced digital marketer (a growth hacker, really) who can drive strategy and execution on multiple, concurrent client retainers with limited oversight.

This is a full-time contract-to-perm position paying between $30-50 per hour, depending on experience. A permanent offer would be negotiated after 90 days if the fit is right and that role will pay above $50k/yr with the exact level again based on experience and efficiency.

This person must thrive in a remote/virtual working environment, because our small team is spread around the world (partner-led offices in Denver, New York and Austin, as well as national and international remote resources). In the short term, this role will report directly to the managing partner in Denver.

The opportunities for professional growth are substantial. This person will create a better way to do nearly everything in this field, while helping to grow our internal marketing team. Because this role could grow into a high-level strategist with more discipline-focused executors below, the requirements span many areas of digital marketing.


The following expertise is desired, but we know if will be unusual to find an affordable resource across every area, so don’t hesitate to throw your hat in the ring if you only align with 85% of these:

Once content is published, you need to have the ability to analyze performance, optimize, and drive organic and paid promotional campaigns across various channels.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, develop, test, document and maintain complex software features from general specifications.

What You’ll Bring:

  • At least nine years of software engineering in a product development organization
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least five years recent experience building systems-level software (e.g. kernel modules, agents).
  • Deep knowledge in at least two related product or technical areas such as file systems or distributed systems.
  • A record of efficient, creative solutions to complex problems and successful incorporation in product delivery.
  • Practical experience in C++ with applied knowledge of object oriented and generic programming.
  • Fluent in approaches to security, concurrency, debugging, performance, scalability, supportability and quality.

  • Design and implement internal security mechanisms to secure individual Elasticsearch clusters as well as provide security for cross cluster operations
  • Implement access control for Elasticsearch APIs, documents, and fields within documents
  • Ownership and sharing of objects with differing permissions in Elasticsearch
  • Design and implement new horizontally-scalable features and APIs in Elasticsearch and X-Pack.
  • Integrate new features from Lucene
  • Improve existing APIs to make them address more use-cases while keeping their surface area contained.
  • Look into all kind of issues, including performance or concurrency issues, and propose solutions.
  • Supporting our support engineers with the harder problems.

  • How do you decide whether to use a HashMap or a TreeMap?
  • How do you decide whether to use a CopyOnWriteArrayList or a Collections.synchronizedList(ArrayList)?
